Specialist Features
Whatever style of cooking you prefer, Rangemaster cookers offer a unique choice of features to make your life easier, creating perfect results every time.*
* Not all features are included on every model. Please refer to product specifications.
Multifunction Oven
The multifunction oven offers up to 11 functions for really flexible cooking. From crisping up the base of your pizza to browning your favourite pasta dish, the multifunction oven is the perfect cooking cavity!
Bread Proving Drawer
Our bread proving drawer is a unique feature to range cooking reaching 40°, enabling you to rest and rise your dough before baking. The proving drawer could also be used to melt butter, rest meat or take the chill off plates ready for serving. Finally when not in use, it's a handy storage drawer (No plastic items to be placed in drawer).
Griddle
Made from robust cast aluminium, the griddle plate sits snugly on top of the gas hob, when required. The flat plate is ideal for cooking bacon and French toast, while the grooved plate provides fat drainage, offering a healthier way to sear steaks, burgers and fish.
Teppanyaki Griddle
Cook healthy food Japanese-style with the unique Teppanyaki-style griddle plate that fits snugly over the burners. It is also coated for non-stick easy cleaning.
HandyRack
No more scorching your hands on the oven cavity when you reach in for your roast! The handyrack allows you to safely open the oven door to check on or baste food without having to touch the roasting dish. Plus you can feed up to 12 people as it can roast a joint up to 12lb or 5.5kg in weight. Once finished, the handyrack roasting dish and wire work can be popped in the dishwasher for easy cleaning.
Multi-ring Burner
The multi-ring burner provides ultimate power for truly flexible cooking. This burner is ideal for large pots and pans or frying pans and it also holds a specially designed wok cradle for stable cooking whilst using a wok.
Multi-zone
The multi-zone located on the left of a 110cm gas hob offers several cooking options in one convenient place. The flat griddle offers non-stick cooking for a healthier finish to meat, fish vegetables, eggs, pancakes, toasties or breakfast for example. Alternatively remove the griddle, and utilise the two ceramic zones for additional cooking space.
Glide-out Grill
Positioned on smooth-action telescopic runners, our Glide-out Grill does exactly that. Not only is it easier to check up on your food as it’s grilling, but it’s also safer as it reduces the risk of pulling the grill out too far.
Deluxe Glide-out Grill
The improved deluxe grill offers even more cooking flexibility and capacity thanks to its deeper pan design. It also includes a four-way trivet for four grilling depth options to suit every type of dish.
Rapid Response
Rapid Response pre-heats the oven 30% faster than a fan oven, so you don’t waste time waiting for the temperature light to go out before you can get cooking. Our tests show that you can place chilled foods in a cold oven, select Rapid Response, and get the same results as starting with a pre-heated oven.
A size to suit all spaces
Don’t be fooled into thinking that range cookers are only suited to homes blessed with big kitchens. In reality, Rangemaster offers 3 different widths to accommodate and complement all kitchen sizes. In fact, designers recommend creating a focal point in a small space and what better solution than an eye-catching range cooker positioned centre-stage? If space is ample, opt for a 110cm wide model, which offers fantastic unique features and benefits including a dedicated slow cook oven or proving drawer.

How Rangemaster test ovens, hobs and grills
For that extra peace of mind, all new Rangemaster products go through a series of tests to ensure they can stand the heat.
Our Home Economist, Alex, gives an insight below to her testing process and the vital role she plays in making sure your model performs to the highest standard.
Developing to British Standards
The development of a Rangemaster cooker starts from the basis that the most important function of the appliance is to cook food in an efficient and safe manner.
Rangemaster follow the British and European Standard BS EN 50304:2009 and BS EN 60350:2009 as well as the appropriate safety standards when developing our range of cookers.
Small Cake Test
We know that actual cooking in the oven is vital during its development. Rangemaster uses small cakes to determine the heat distribution in electric ovens.
These cakes are always made from the same ingredients and 28g of the raw cake mixture is weighed into each greaseproof paper cake case. Even the size and grade of paper of these cases is laid down in the standard.
After cooking, the tops and bases of the cakes are examined to note any differences in browning. If the cakes are not evenly browned, we go back to the development engineers who will make some changes to the oven cavity to remedy any unevenness and then test cooking is done again to verify the changes.
Cooking Temperatures
As well as small cakes, we use scones and fruit cake which cover 3 different cooking temperatures - cool (fruit cake), medium heat, (small cakes) and scones (high temperature).
Apple pies are used to check if the oven can cope with a heavy load. Once again the colour of the base and top is checked and that the filling is cooked.
Christmas Dinner Test
As we manufacture one of the largest oven cavities available, which is great for family cooking,
We also cook a full meal in the oven and check it is large enough for your 11.3kg (25lb) Christmas turkey.
The Hob
The hob, being a vital part of cooker is also subjected to testing. Can the burners be turned right down without the flame going out?
Of course! Are the zones on an induction hob as responsive as they should be? Yes!
The griddles provided with your Rangemaster are thoroughly tested to see if the coating is non-stick during cooking and cleaning and the triple ring burners and wok cradle are checked out using our Rangemaster non-stick wok.
The Grill
When it comes to grills, we test with toast to calculate the percentage browned in relation to the size of the grilling area and the time taken to do this.
Beef burgers are also cooked to see the uniformity of cooking and browning.
