Terms and Conditions

The following additional terms and conditions shall apply if the customer is purchasing the goods in the course of a trade, profession or business.

All Goods are subject to availability and may be changed at any time and remain the property of DB Domestics Appliances Limited until paid in full

If your order cannot be fulfilled, you will be offered an alternative or given a full refund.

All products are supplied with a 12 month manufacturers guarantee unless otherwise stated. All guarantees must be registered by the customer. Also to qualify for any extended guarantees or promotions it will be the customers responsibility to notify the manufacture s or their agents. All manufacturers require date of purchase, a copy of customer’s invoice, serial and product numbers, this can be provided on request.

All items sold are for domestic use only. Any appliance used commercially will not have a valid warranty unless otherwise specified. All guarantee work is carried out by the manufacturers and not by ourselves.

All Special Orders will require either payment in full or a minimum of a 25% deposit to secure the items at the price sold. Goods can be stored at our secure warehouse free of charge for a maximum of 6 months, after which we reserve the right to charge a holding fee. Goods can be returned up to 14 days from sale subject to manager discretion and conditions. All items ordered or ordered in error by the customer are at the managers discretion and may result in a 30% re-stock fee on cancelled orders.

Delivery Dates given are approximate from the manufacturers and are beyond our control.

DELIVERY AND INSTALLATION

We aim to deliver your appliance to you at the agreed time, but withhold the right to alter the time. If it is necessary for us to change this time we will endeavour to contact you within 24 hours whenever possible to arrange an alternative delivery time.

We will not be liable to the extent that any failure to deliver was caused by an Event Outside Our Control, or because you refused to accept delivery, did not have anyone at the delivery address to accept delivery, or failed to provide adequate delivery instructions or any other instructions that are relevant to the supply or delivery of the Goods. We reserve the right to make a charge of £30 plus any other charges incurred by us.

Safe and suitable access for delivery is the customer’s responsibility, please check that your appliance will fit through your doors or stairs. We reserve the right to refuse delivery if our delivery team deem the delivery and installation unsafe for safety reasons.

If a connection fails because you did not inform of us of any reason why it may not be successful we reserve the right to make a failed connection charge of £30

Additional services which have been ordered but are then declined upon delivery are non-refundable, as we allocate time and space on our delivery vans. These include ‘Wet Install & Recycle’, ‘Gas Cooker Fitting’, Additional Fitting’, ‘Connection (Built In & Freestanding)’ and ‘Connection (Built Under & Combi)’.

Our employees and representatives will take all due care to avoid damage to your property during your delivery and installation of appliances, but will not accept liability for any damage incurred, in particular damage to flooring and surrounding furniture when carrying our delivery, installation and removal of old appliances. If you are at all concerned by this please speak to a member of staff.

We do not carry out any alterations to fixtures and fittings and we will only install gas appliances that must comply to the latest gas regulations i.e. bayonet fitting, appropriate ventilation and pipework. To ensure gas regulations are met with offer a free gas check prior to delivery and installation, if any issues are found we will discuss these with you in full. Any works required will need to be carried out by the customer prior to installation. We only install appliances to existing connections. We will only fit appliances if the quarter turn taps are free and complete. If your valve is seized and we are unable to install we will re attend free of charge once the issue is resolved.

It is the customer’s responsibility to check that all installation has been completed to a satisfactory standard. DB Domestics Appliances Limited will not accept any liability for any damage caused to any property by faulty installation where the service has been free of charge. All installation of appliances fitted to a water supply i.e. washing machines, dishwashers, and American fridge freezers it is the customers responsibility to check all plumbing connections after 2 hours. If you do have a leak turn off the water supply to the appliance and we will check our installation at our earliest convenience. We are not plumbers or electricians. There may be a charge if found that the leak is not due to our installation.

We are not responsible for outside engineers, plumbers or kitchen fitters that we may recommend — these tradesmen require their own Public Liability.

AFTER INSTALLATION OR DISCONNECTION OF ANY APPLLIANCE CONNECTED TO A WATER SUPPLY DB DOMESTICS APPLIANCES LIMITED WILL NOT ACCEPT LIABILITY UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES FOR ANY DAMAGE TO ANY PROPERTY CAUSED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY BY ESCAPE OF WATER.
