Local Heroes: Rafal Parda
Hastings based Rafal Parda has decided to take action to help people in and around his local area, help our global neighbours in Ukraine as their crisis caused by the Russian invasion continues.
Posting on Facebook, Rafal called for donations support some key Ukrainian aid campaigns and arranged a point in Hastings for people to drop them off. He then personally drove to all items to the main collection points in London where they are being added to stocks collected elsewhere.
Rafal is doing all of this on his own time and without being asked! You can read his original post here to find out more and contact him if you would like to.
Items being collected are as follows:
batteries | flashlights | candles | clothes (new or very good condition) | shoes (new or very good condition) | diapers | dressings for children of different ages | dry sanitary products | thermal clothes | thermal shirts | long johns | gloves | painkillers | dressings | duvets | blankets | sleeping bags | pillows | sheets | dressings
